A 23-year-old Asian woman was attacked with a cane on a Harlem subway platform in what is being probed as another possible bias attack, cops said Wednesday.
The incident unfolded around 6:45 a.m. on May 12 after the woman got off the northbound 1 train at Broadway and West 116 Street in Morningside Heights, according to police.
As she walked across the platform, an unknown man started swinging his cane at her — hitting her in the head and hip — before he fled onto the northbound train, cops said.
She refused medical attention.
It was unclear if any words were exchanged.
The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is looking into the attack.
